How we modernised a long-standing accounting platform by building an innovative proof of concept for entering accounting journals, combining performance with an excellent user experience.

Context

A major player in online accounting, whose flagship product dates from the 1990s, faces growing technical challenges. With a customer base that has grown tenfold over the years, the legacy platform is showing its limits and causing recurring failures.

Issues identified

Substantial technical debt: An ageing architecture in need of modernising
